About Us
With over 100 years of design and manufacturing history, DuraClass is the most experienced and respected producer of Class 3-8 dump bodies, hoists, and related equipment in the United States. We are commited to consistently supplying our customers with highest quality products and exceptional customer service. DuraClass technology and design dates back more than a century, and today, DuraClass continues to build on those traditions. We manufacture from our primary production facility in Tishomingo, MS.
DuraClass Then
DuraClass traces its roots back to 1901 when the Heil Rail Joint Welding Co. was founded in Wisconsin. Heil pioneered the use of electric welding to produce fabricated steel products.
In 1978, Heil opened the Tishomingo, MS plant as a manufacturing branch. In 2005, Truck Bodies and Equipment International, Inc. (TBEI) was formed and purchased the DuraClass dump body brand and Mississippi manufacturing facility from Heil.
As a part of the TBEI family, DuraClass grew exponentially and leveraged its synergies with its sister companies.
DuraClass Now
TBEI was purchased by Federal Signal in 2017, making DuraClass part of one of the largest companies in the dump truck industry. Our facility in Mississippi has grown over the years from its original 120,000 sq. ft. footprint in 1978, to now reaching over 200,000 sq ft. In recent years, DuraClass has released a brand new product family – the DuraTuff™ line of dump bodies. DuraClass remains dedicated to the core values and reputation we’ve built over the decades. We are continuing to build the reputation of the DuraClass brand, which has become synonymous with our products, we are aggressively reinvesting in our production and design capabilities and are committed to continuously improving our quality and expanding our reach.
